Unlocking the Power of the Pharmacy Workforce.

We develop, deploy and empower pharmacy teams to lead implementation, improve medicines access and deliver sustainable capacity across the NHS.

The Pharmacy Workforce is the System’s Greatest Untapped Asset.

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are spread across primary care, community settings, hospitals and integrated care systems. They bring deep and unique expertise in medicines, safety, long-term condition management and

multidisciplinary collaboration.

Despite this, the profession remains underused and undervalued. Their deployment is often inconsistent, fragmented or unsupported, with many working below their potential.

The reason is not a lack of talent. It is a lack of structure.

Soar Beyond exists to unlock this potential across the health system and with our eco-system of pharmacy professionals, digital tools and methodologies, we are your ideal implementation partner.

Barriers to Pharmacy Potential

Pharmacy professionals have the clinical expertise, cross-sector presence and patient-facing roles to lead long-term condition management and drive service delivery. But they are often held back by cultural perceptions, lack of structured development and unclear role integration.

This disconnect limits both their professional progression and their system-wide impact.

How We Help

Turning Pharmacy Workforce Potential Into System Impact

Pharmacy professionals are one of the NHS’s most capable, yet underutilised, workforces. We exist to change that by turning their potential into practical, measurable system impact.

Soar Beyond is not a training provider.

We are an implementation partner;  building the clarity, capability and confidence

pharmacists need to lead services, adopt innovation and improve patient outcomes across systems.

We work with NHS organisations and pharmaceutical partners to develop a workforce that is ready, skilled and confident to deliver clinical services, implement pathways and expand access to medicines.

Clarity

Defining Role Scope, Expectations and Pathways

Pharmacists cannot lead if their role is unclear and the services are not enabled.
We provide structured frameworks and practical tools to define safe scope of practice, map career progression and guide deployment decisions to help the profession work to the ‘top of their licence’.

How?

  • SMART Workforce digital competency platform: capability clarity from foundation to consultant level

  • Alignment with national RPS and local LTC competency frameworks e.g. IBD for specialist pharmacists, advanced CRM and more. Where they exist, we digitise them and give them impact- where they don’t we develop them with experts

  • Role definition and deployment models to support system-wide workforce planning including application of QI skills to real world implementation and evidence generation

  • Conducting Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments (PNAs) of Community Pharmacy Services- commissioned by Local Authorities to ensure pharmacy service provision meets population health needs.

Client Success Snapshot

I joined the i2i LEAD programme because I wanted to enhance my leadership and project management skills. I wanted to assert my role within the Directorate and be recognised as someone who can introduce new ways of working with a view to improve current service provisions as well as enhancing the efficiency of the team.

I would recommend this programme to other specialist pharmacists who wish to develop project management and leadership skills because it has certainly helped me to achieve many goals in a short period of time. [ ] It has helped me to develop personally as well as professionally, which has now opened the door for further opportunities in leading projects as well as embarking on the Consultant Pharmacist Pathway.
