Soar Beyond has announced its sponsorship of The Prescription’s “Being Interviewed in a Changing NHS” course. This agreement reinforces Soar Beyond’s commitment to supporting Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), NHS pharmacist leaders, during a period of significant reorganisation and reform.

As the NHS embarks on an ambitious programme of change, medicines optimisation pharmacists are critical clinical leaders, playing a vital role in improving outcomes, managing demand and ensuring the best use of medicines. At the same time, strategic commissioning for medicines has never been more important in delivering sustainable, high-quality care across systems.

Through its sponsorship of The Prescription, Soar Beyond aims to champion pharmacy leadership and support those navigating complexity at both system and service level.

Shailen Rao, CEO of Soar Beyond, said:

“Pharmacists and their leaders are central to the future of high-quality NHS care. At a time of significant reorganisation, we are committed to backing initiatives like ‘The Prescription’ that bring senior pharmacy leaders together, share insight and help build capability across systems. Having gone through a similar transition myself when taking voluntary redundancy from the NHS as a Head of Medicines Management, I know first-hand how valuable this kind of support will be.”

Ewan Maule, founder of The Prescription and Clinical Director of NENC ICB said:

“Many pharmacy professionals are navigating interviews and recruitment processes at the same time as major organisational change, role redesign and uncertainty about the future. ‘Being Interviewed in a Changing NHS’ is designed to support people feeling like they need to find clarity in that complexity.

I’m particularly pleased this course is being delivered in partnership with Soar Beyond. Their work over many years, including the current Elevate programme, focuses on building real capability in pharmacy leadership, which aligns closely with what this course is trying to do. At a time of major change for the system, and the individuals working within it, that kind of practical support really matters."

Shailen Rao will be hosting an evening Elevate webinar on Tuesday 10th Febuary with Ewan Maule as part of a two-part series on ‘Interview Readiness and Mental Preparation for ICB Roles‘. This programme is designed for senior pharmacists and delivered through Soar Beyond’s i2i Network.
